Dr. Debb Summers grew up in Vega, Texas, a small Panhandle town of just 836 people, where she learned the value of hard work and a strong sense of community. She alwayscarried big dreams and a belief that she was meant for something greater. That drive led her to Texas Tech University, where she completed both her undergraduate studies and medical school. She later moved to Arizona for her residency training at Honor Health, where she specialized in family medicine. Arizona has remained her home ever since. Through her studies, she laid the foundation for what would become a remarkable and far-reaching medical career.
With over 25 years in medicine, she has never limited herself to a single path. Her diverse career has included family practice, urgent care, and occupational medicine. This journey brought her into close work with first responders and individuals facing traumatic and life-altering events, which ultimately sparked her deep passion for mentalhealth care.
Dr. Summers completed a mini-fellowship at the Ketamine Institute with Dr. Gerald Grass. He served as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, where the original ketamine infusion protocol was formulated in 1994. His department worked in conjunction with the Department of Psychiatry to develop a groundbreaking treatment protocol, one that Dr. Summers has continued to refine today.
Guided by a vision to treat wellness from the inside out, she founded Method Wellness and Method Ketamine, offering a comprehensive, personalized approach that bridges conventional and holistic care, especially for patients who have not found relief through traditional methods. For her, medicine has never been about titles or a single specialty, it has always been about making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people she serves.
She has built strong relationships with physicians, therapists, and counselors across the Valley. Always striving to expand her expertise, she has made significant investments in the emerging field of Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, a space she continues to champion with dedication and enthusiasm.
She is board-certified in Family Medicine and an active member of both the American Society of Ketamine Physicians and the American Med Spa Association, reflecting her commitment to staying at the forefront of her field.
